I miss him so much. He was the love of my life. He taught me to be a good person, to love, and also how to get the most out of life. My daddy got into a hobby and it was his focus until something would catch his attention. He collected stamps when I was a little girl and he would take me with him to the Coin & Stamp shop. He would pick me up and sit me on the counter to sift through tubs of stamps. I learned to recognize one stamp from another.
Then he collected baseball cards. He would sit in his favorite chair at night and go through boxes of cards. My two brothers and I would help him and it was like finding the toy in a box of cracker jacks when we found a good card.
I find hobbies just like he did. I love doing anything crafty. I'm really good at making jewelry and my latest love is crocheting. I'm enjoying crocheting more than anything I've done in a long time. One day I want to learn how to paint acrylics and I'm still determined to learn how to sew.
No matter what my dad was into in his life, he was always reading and I got the love of reading from him. It's the one constant in my life. I'm reading no matter whats going on.
Daddy, I miss you so much. I know you're with me every day. Happy Father's Day Daddy!
