Hi everyone! Great to see that you’re still visiting my site. Sorry I haven’t been around for a bit. Lots of things have been happening. First, my second grandson had his first birthday! Way to go Beckham! I made a quilt for him just like the one that I had made for Logan. Except of course, Beckham’s quilt says Happy First Birthday Beckham. I’m very happy with how it turned out. I have a much better sewing and embroidery machine this time around. The quality of the embroidery is much cleaner and crisper. Well I guess it’s time for me to quit talking about it and show it to you.
Beckham is so adorable! He takes after his daddy in many ways but one thing he definitely got from my son is his hair. It’s so long and he’s such a sweet boy.
Dan and I had a great Christmas. I had several surprises for him under the tree and the living room was decorated so pretty.
Now for the big news, most of you know me as a Microsoft instructor for 22 years. Well, I decided to take on a new career. I believe this new position will be much better for me at this stage in my life so I look to embrace it and be the best that I can be at my new job. It’s definitely very different. I’ve never had an official “desk” before but I do now! And as one of my friends said…I Lisa-ized it! I tried to my put my own little touches on it and it’s very cozy. It’s a fairly big office so two other people share it with me and good thing they don’t mind my nesting!
Well, those are the updates for now! I’ll try to not let as much time go by before the next one. I should have some things to show you soon. I’m working on a quilt using Tula Pink fabric. I’m almost done crocheting a blanket using the Sweet Pea pattern by Lucy at Attic24.
The Mid-Atlantic Quilt show is this weekend in Hampton. I’m so excited! I look forward to it every year. If it’s as amazing as it usually is I’ll have some pictures from it.
So take care everyone! Talk to you soon!
